For businesses to meet compliance requirements and simultaneously be successful, it requires careful consideration of national and local labor laws, costs, and other factors including location and demand. To ensure that schedules are only published when they meet the specific requirements and standards to remain compliant, we've added a feature that requires approval first. This gives our customers the option to post schedules after a designated approver has checked them.
Customers can turn on the schedule approval flow per unit and assign the designated approver. Then, a new communication and notification flow is set up to make sure nothing falls between the cracks.
Units where this flow applies, planners will be able to send an approval request to the approver, who in turn will receive a notification about the pending request. The approver can share feedback with the planner when schedules require changes. Once changes are made, a new approval request can be sent, and the process repeats until schedules are approved. All approved schedules will be published automatically.
With this addition to our scheduling solution, you have even more control over compliance, the quality of schedules, and more.
We’ll continue to improve the communication, feedback and notification flow for schedule approvals, so make sure to keep an eye out for the latest release notes.
