On the 30th of October, Quinyx was honoured to invite their customers and partners to the Swedish Ambassador’s Residence in London for a dinner discussing how the generation of millennials will reshape the structure of the labour market as we know it.
This dinner was a follow-up from a collaboration between Quinyx and the Swedish Embassy in June where Quinyx Founder and CEO, Erik Fjellborg, shared his experiences on expanding a Swedish tech-business to the UK market during the Innovation-Tech reception hosted by the Embassy. This time round, the focus was on discussing the future labour market with regards to the impact of the millennial generation and their demand on higher flexibility and work life balance. This fully digitalised generation are using their mobile phones no less than 280 times every day and the discussions evolved around how these industries could grasp mobile technology as a competitive advantage in their industries.
The attendees were senior decision makers from the Retail, Healthcare and Restaurant Industries who all face these challenges and Quinyx CEO and Founder, Erik Fjellborg summarized the evening and these challenges with the following words: “This was an excellent opportunity for us to meet and discuss our customers’ challenges in the market place. UK companies fear a shortage of labour and it has never been more important to focus on employee satisfaction and retention.”
