A few key findings from the report:

  • Workforce management (WFM) applications increasingly have been incorporating AI to help HR organizations improve operational efficiency and reduce administrative overhead. Emerging capabilities include AI-powered demand forecasting, candidate mapping, scheduling optimization and skills management.

  • Organizations leverage WFM applications to improve employee experience (EX) through features such as flexible scheduling, conversational interfaces, corporate communications and employee sentiment capture.

  • According to Gartner, “By 2030, AI-enabled skills management will be a core capability of WFM and used daily for managing how hourly paid workers are deployed”.
