Junior Achievement (JA) alumni were welcomed to our HQ in Stockholm for a special evening arranged by JA alumni STHLM which included dinner, a keynote speech and the opportunity to share experiences and ideas. Over 100 people came to participate in the event.
The initiative was founded in 2015 and there has been one previous meet up at LinkedIn. Now it was time for Quinyx to stand as hosts. The aim is to host two events per year and the vision of the initiative is to create a natural arena and meeting place for alumni to share thoughts and ideas.
Erik Fjellborg, founder and CEO of Quinyx and also alumni at Junior Achievement, was the keynote speaker for the evening and spoke about how his background in Junior Achievement has helped him to found and run Quinyx. The focus of the presentation was how a young entrepreneur, such as himself, was able to create a successful company. He highlighted themes such as practical tips around funding, recruiting new people, company structure and customers, among other things. The presentation was then followed by a Q&A with questions ranging from international expansion and how and when you should act, to how the Quinyx came to be.
Speaking at the evening Erik Fjellborg said: “I think it’s amazing that we get the chance to meet up and share our difficulties and challenges and that I get the opportunity to share my experience. It’s also amazing that we can host this event here at Quinyx for over 100 people.”
Jessica Lehmussaari, project leader and Inspirational speaker at Junior Achievement, added: “There is an incredible amount of inspiration that we can get from each other and we want this initiative to create a natural meeting place for this to happen.”
Enjoy Work!
