Lyko operates e-commerce, physical stores, salons, and manufactures its own beauty products. With expansion comes challenges, particularly in workforce planning and efficiency. To address these, Lyko needs a seamless and scalable WFM solution - and they have been using Quinyx since 2013. Today, 113 locations and 1,300 employees are managed in Quinyx.
Efficient Workforce Management
Lyko utilizes Quinyx for scheduling and time & attendance, among other things. Through the Quinyx app, employees can view their schedules, sign up for available shifts, request vacation time, receive updates from managers and headquarters, and verify their worked hours.
To ensure adequate staffing during peak periods, such as Black Friday or the holiday season, part-time employees can easily sign up for unstaffed shifts directly in the Quinyx app - choosing the day and time that suits them. Åsa Magnusson, HR Specialist at Lyko, emphasizes that the flexibility to decide when to work is valuable for employees while also allowing Lyko to quickly and efficiently ensure full shift coverage.

Time Savings with Quinyx AI Assistant
Lyko was among the first to gain exclusive access to Quinyx’s AI-powered assistant before its official launch. From day one, the assistant helped both employees and managers quickly find answers to their questions - directly within the Quinyx platform. Instead of searching through manuals, they could simply ask, "How do I reset my password?" or "Where can I find the scheduling tools?" and receive an immediate response.
The results speak for themselves: Lyko saved approximately five minutes per question - a significant time savings in a fast-paced work environment.
Åsa appreciated how quickly the assistant could provide answers, noting that receiving responses while in the system is valuable since that’s when questions arise. “Helpdocs don’t align with how modern workers operate. We don’t want to search for answers - we want them instantly!” she explains.
Future Opportunities
Lyko sees Quinyx as an integral part of its operations. In the future, the company is eager to explore additional AI solutions from Quinyx. They are also interested in examining how Quinyx’s Files & Folders feature could further enhance their workflows.
